Zirthia the Witness guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Zirthia the Witness is an Epic Wind Support from the Lightseekers Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. She protects allies with Shields and RES Up, then speeds up their Skills. Her value is preventive: she has no heal, cleanse or revive, so a teammate who is already hurt still needs a healer.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Zirthia has 753 ATK, 643 DEF and 9,544 HP. Her ATK and HP are about average for a Support.
The Shield rule matters when you build her. Defender of Truth's Shield is based on Zirthia's own MAX HP, not the recipient's, so building her HP makes every ally's Shield bigger. HP also helps her stay alive to repeat the protection.
Skills To Prioritize
Defender of Truth Shields nearby allies for twelve seconds and places RES Up for fourteen seconds. At Level 10 the Shield is 22% of her MAX HP and RES Up is 42%. Max Level raises these to 25% and 45% and lowers the base cooldown from 24 to 22 seconds. RES Up helps your team resist debuffs that can be resisted. It doesn't cleanse debuffs already on an ally or stop mechanics that can't be resisted, and a Shield absorbs damage rather than restoring HP an ally has already lost.
Serenity's Judgement attacks three times. Its first hit places 15% Skill SPD Up on nearby allies for thirteen seconds. The third hit places Recovery Up for the same time, at 12% at Level 10 and 15% at Max Level. Recovery affects cooldown timing, while Skill SPD follows its own rules for action speed and ticks, so don't add them into a single 30% damage or cooldown boost. What each ally actually gains depends on their kit and existing stats. Max Level lowers the Ultimate's Mana cost from 850 to 800. You still need Mana and time to land the hits, so the duration doesn't mean the buffs are always up for the team.
Honest Blade extends a random buff on Zirthia by 3.5 seconds at Level 10. A critical hit also extends a random buff on one random nearby ally. Max Level raises both to up to two effects and the extension to four seconds. The ally part needs a critical hit and reaches one random ally, not the whole team, and it can only extend buffs that are already there and can be extended.
Archivist Strike also gives Ultimate Mana to two random allies. Count it as a bonus: it can't guarantee a chosen ally's next Ultimate.
If you want Zirthia to be your team's Shield, prioritize Defender of Truth first, as it grows the Shield and RES Up and comes back sooner. If you want her to speed up your team's Skills, consider upgrading Serenity's Judgement first, since Max Level raises Recovery Up to 15% and lowers the Mana cost to 800.
Build And Team Support
Zirthia has no debuffs of her own, so invest in HP first, since it sets the size of her Shield, then RES, up to about 300 for Bosses and more for Arena. None of her effects need Accuracy, so don't spend Gear on it. Add Skill RECOV to bring Defender of Truth back sooner and Mana Gen to reach her Ultimate. Crit Rate gives Honest Blade's ally extension more chances to trigger, but it shouldn't come before the stats that keep her alive.
For Relic Sets, Health raises her HP, which makes her Shields bigger and helps her survive to repeat them, and Resistance raises her RES. Fury raises Skill RECOV for Defender of Truth, and Mana raises Mana Gen for her Ultimate. Paragon makes her Shields 15% bigger.
Pair her with a healer, as she can't heal or revive. Her native Atrophy and Crush Tolerances match Astral Omnissi's pair.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena and the Wind Spire, Zirthia's Shields, RES Up and Skill buffs work best beside a healer.
Be wary of Astral Omnissi, who steals buffs: Zirthia's native Atrophy and Crush Tolerances match her Corruptions, but she can take the buffs Zirthia places on your team.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Zirthia's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
