Aethis Chase Guide
This full guide of the Aethis Chase event shows the Tournaments Calendar, the full list of events and the Chase Leaderboard, and lets you track the progress of your Crowns.
Win Crowns in Tournaments to then get a Legendary Invoker from the Event Shop. You will gain Points for almost any action in-game, like upgrading Gear or defeating Bosses. Completing specific actions during related Tournaments will earn you x2 Points. You will also get extra rewards by placing 1st on your Local Leaderboard in a Tournament.
Remember, you can receive Points for specific actions any time while a Chase is live, but you will get x2 Points during specific Tournaments. You can still earn Points for a Chase Event after a Tournament has finished.
Aethis the Sorrow is a Legendary Water Melee Attacker from the Lightseekers Faction. He turns the debuffs your team places into extra damage. Retribution Rain deals more damage for every debuff on the target, Weeping Edge turns every debuff into Ultimate Mana, and critical hits shorten his cooldowns, so a team that keeps a target debuffed gets a damage dealer that cycles his Skills quickly.
His damage scales from ATK. He places no debuffs himself and has no Bleed or Burn, so his additional damage depends on teammates who place debuffs. He can look after himself for a while: Tearful Ax Shields him for a share of the damage it deals. He's still a Melee Attacker, so still pair him with a Tank and a healer.
His native Manaburn and Daze Tolerances make him ideal for fighting Fire Omnissi, but he has a place fighting any Boss, due to his Skills getting amped up when hitting a target under multiple debuffs. Focus on building up his Crit Rate first, and then increase his ATK and Crit DMG to match. Thanks to Tearful Ax, he gains a Shield based on the damage he deals, so boosting his ATK actually increases Aethis' survivability.
And he is a Legendary. Legendaries are the backbone of a powerful Collection, and he'll always find use within the Water Spire. The Spires pay out more than almost anything else in the game — so a guaranteed Legendary is worth collecting even when he is not the Invoker you would have picked.
How the Aethis Chase Works
Missing a Tournament does not take you out of the running to complete a Chase! As long as the Chase is live, almost every action you take will earn Points, whether or not the matching Tournament is active. This means that if you summon a Destiny Star during an Invoker Summon Surge, you will earn double Points, but on any other day, you will still earn Points. So long as you're playing, all of your actions will count towards earning Crowns in the Chase!
Completing your Daily Quests and Clan Quests is extremely helpful, because it gives you Points towards all goals every day. It is especially important to do Arena battles daily, as it helps you progress through the Arena goals, which are quite challenging.

Aethis FAQ
How many Crowns do you need to get Aethis?
You need 170 Crowns, collected between 9 Nov – 29 Nov 2026.
How many Tournaments run during the Aethis Chase?
19 Tournaments run during the Aethis Chase, and together they are worth 200 Crowns.
Can I see how many Tournaments are left?
Yes! The in-game Event Calendar will tell you which Tournaments are upcoming in the next 7 days, while the Calendar on this page will tell you all of the Tournaments in the Aethis Chase. Aethis Chase Calendar
How do I plan the Aethis Chase?
Open the Planner on this page. Set your account level, your Campaign and boss stages and what you hold, tick the Tournaments you will play, and it works out each day's Energy, what every Tournament pays, and whether you reach the 170 Crowns for Aethis.
Is the Aethis Chase worth playing?
It is. Aethis the Sorrow is a Legendary Invoker from the Lightseekers Faction, a Water Melee Attacker whose Skills get stronger the more debuffs there are on the target. He can also Shield himself using Tearful Ax, and his Weeping Edge Skill helps him generate Ultimate Mana.
He cannot place debuffs himself, so he needs to be paired with debuffers to make the most of his kit. His Tolerances make him a good fit for Fire Omnissi, as well as anyone with Daze or Manaburn.
Legendaries are always needed for the Spire, where the rewards are among the best in the game — so the Chase pays off even if he is not the Invoker you would have picked. Read Aethis the Sorrow's full kit
Where does Aethis rank among Invokers?
You can check the Tier List, either in-game or on the Portal, to see where other players think Aethis stacks up. Keep in mind, you may have to wait until other players earn the Chase Invoker to get a proper idea of their placement in the Tier List! Invoker Tier List
Can I finish the Chase as free-to-play?
Yes, comfortably. Play every day, claim all of the free Energy, and complete every Daily Quest and Clan Quest. Earn your Points while the matching Tournament is running so they count double.
Should I play Arena every day?
Yes. Free Arena Tokens stop refilling once you are holding ten or more, so banking them wastes the ones you never receive. Up to 34 are handed out across a day — spend them all, every day.
Short of Stars for the Summon Goal?
Wild Stars count too! Collect Wild Stars from clearing Boss Stages and Campaign and then use them during Invoker Summon Surges. It's the best way to clear these Tournaments if you're playing free-to-play.
Not going to reach 170 Crowns in time?
If you've exhausted your resources from just playing the game and are a little short of a Tournament goal, consider getting a pack from the Shop to make up the difference. Remember you can earn some extra VIP Points if you do purchase via the Shop on the Portal.
How do I run a Chase Event free-to-play?
Save any rewards you earn from clearing the Spires and use them for the matching Tournament. Spires rewards should get you most of the way there to finishing at least one Tournament's Personal Reward track.
