The Most Powerful Epic Invokers
Epics are the Invokers most accounts can actually build and keep using for a long time, so choosing the right ones matters. This list covers thirteen Epics worth your resources, followed by five honorable mentions.
The order is not a ranking. Each section explains what the Invoker does, where it helps, and what to watch for, with a link to the full page for Skill levels and builds.
To see where each Invoker stands by mode and by Boss, open the Ultimate Tier List. Skills can change with updates, so check an Invoker's page before you start building them.
Nirvelle the Soulraiser
Nirvelle the Soulraiser is an Epic Light Support from the Nocturna, and fits almost any team, in PvE and in the Arena. Her Ultimate, Soulraiser, revives a fallen ally and gives your team Unkillable and Crit Rate Up, so she protects your damage dealers and helps them hit harder in the same cast.
Vitality Shift heals the group, Twisted Vision places ACC Down and Weaken, and Life Reap places Heal Reduction. Keep in mind that Vitality Shift's ATK Up only comes when the attack kills its target, so do not count on it against a single Boss.
Build Nirvelle if you want healing, a revive and offensive support all from one Invoker.
Custodian Plumia
Custodian Plumia is an Epic Fire Support from the Eldrin, built to keep debuffs off your team. Will of the Crystal Egg extends your allies' buffs and then grants Immunity against several debuffs, and Phoenix Rite heals the group and, once upgraded, removes debuffs too.
She also gives ATK Up. A team without debuffs keeps its damage up and takes less, which makes her worth using early in the Arena as well.
Build Plumia if debuffs on your team are what keeps costing you fights.
Nistoru the Bloodbought
Nistoru the Bloodbought is an Epic Dark Melee Attacker from the Nocturna, and good at clearing content on his own: the Campaign, the Spires and some Bosses. His damage keeps him alive. Vermillion Arc heals him for part of the damage it deals, Ravenous Edge gives him a Shield based on damage dealt and ATK Up, and Crimson Stinger gives him Move SPD Up.
His Ultimate shortens his Skill cooldowns, by more on a critical hit, so Crit Rate keeps his Skills coming back. His protection is his own: your other allies still need theirs.
Build Nistoru if you want a damage dealer who needs less help from your healer.
Princess Kaelis
Princess Kaelis is an Epic Light Ranged Attacker from the Eldrin, and a damage dealer who works in the Spires, against Bosses and in the Campaign alike. Besides her damage, she works with the effects already on the field.
Regal Pledge extends debuffs on her target, Battle Princess transfers debuffs and grants Titan Mana on a critical hit, Royal Hope shortens an enemy's buffs, and High Decree can return Mana for her Ultimate on a critical hit.
Build Kaelis if your team already places debuffs and you want them to last longer.
Falrae
Falrae is an Epic Earth Ranged Attacker from the Eldrin, and her whole kit is built around an enemy with no buffs. Her Ultimate hits three times, steals buffs with each hit, and deals much more Crit DMG to a target that has none.
Curse of Endings places Jinx, which stops new buffs landing on the target, and her other Skills shorten her cooldowns and give her Mana when the target is unbuffed. Keep in mind that Jinx stops new buffs but does not remove the ones already there.
Build Falrae if you face teams or Bosses that lean on buffs and you want to take them away.
Thylsa the Rootwalker
Thylsa the Rootwalker is an Epic Fire Support from the Eldrin, mixing healing with control. Heady Aroma heals the group and gives ATK Up, Creeper Vine heals an ally from the damage it deals, and she places ACC Down.
Tangleroot places Chain on a group, which stops enemies moving, though not attacking. That buys your team time to heal or to get away from melee enemies.
Build Thylsa if you want a healer who also slows the fight down for you.
Ruthos the Enthralled
Ruthos the Enthralled is an Epic Earth Tank from the Lightseekers, and protects his team with shields and cleansing rather than Taunt. His Ultimate charges in, Launches enemies and places Heal Reduction, while his other Skills shield the team and remove its debuffs.
He also places Move SPD Down, which matters more than it looks: enemies take longer to reach your back line. Without Taunt, enemies can still go past him, so keep your fragile Invokers positioned behind him.
Build Ruthos if you need a Tank who shields and cleanses the whole team.
Sanctus the Valiant
Sanctus the Valiant is an Epic Light Melee Attacker from the Lightseekers, and plays like a paladin: a damage dealer who also protects.
His Ultimate, Wield And Shield, removes debuffs from the team, shields it based on the damage he deals and his HP, and Launches enemies. His other Skills shield an ally, remove debuffs from Sanctus and an ally, and Launch then Stun a target.
Build Sanctus if you want damage and protection all from one Invoker.
Confar the Burnished
Confar the Burnished is an Epic Fire Tank from the Eldrin, and more than a Tank: he deals damage and sets up the rest of your team's. He places DEF Down and RES Down, and Cinderthrust places Burn.
Feather Comet shields nearby allies based on the damage he deals, and Burnished Hawk gives him a Shield and DEF Up. He pairs well with a damage dealer like Dannos through progression, and is at his best against Bosses, in PvE and in the Spires rather than in the Arena.
Build Confar if you want a durable front line that also makes your damage dealers hit harder.
Ivory the Beastseeker
Ivory the Beastseeker is an Epic Light Ranged Attacker from the Freeborn, strong in the Arena and in PvE, including against Sakiel and in the Spires. What makes her unusual for an Epic is how many buffs she blocks: Demoralizer places Jinx that stops up to five buffs.
Bonebreaker places DEF Down around a target, Beast Calmer places Mindworm, and Finisher shortens her cooldowns on a critical hit. Be wary of Bosses whose passives cannot be disabled: Mindworm will not switch those off.
Build Ivory if buffs on the enemy side are what keeps beating you.
Yusasa
Yusasa is an Epic Earth Support from the Cambion, and a steady source of healing. Her Ultimate heals your lowest-HP ally again and again, and Swift Life Chant adds Regeneration on two allies.
She also places Move SPD Down on a wide area, which buys your team breathing room and time for her heals to come back, and Spirit Branch extends debuffs on a target.
Build Yusasa if you need sustained healing without spending on a Legendary.
Kravul the Iron Shaman
Kravul the Iron Shaman is an Epic Wind Support from the Ironbands, and stacks several layers of protection. Jaws of Iron places Blind on enemies and gives allies Evasion, so enemy Combo Attacks miss more often, and Ironhorn Ward gives allies Harden, which cuts damage taken, and Willpower against Control Debuffs.
Beastly Steel Launches an enemy and gives two allies Regeneration, and he places RES Down as well. Keep in mind that Blind and Evasion work against Combo Attacks, not every Skill.
Build Kravul if your team keeps getting worn down by Combo Attacks and Control Debuffs.
Nightguard Aleksu
Nightguard Aleksu is an Epic Fire Ranged Attacker from the Nocturna, and one of the hardest-hitting Epics once his targets carry debuffs. His Ultimate, Make Peace, hits harder against enemies with debuffs and much harder against those with three or more.
Vigilant Eye places DEF Down and ATK Down, Scour Healing places Heal Reduction, and he extends debuffs as well. He has little HP, so keep a Tank in front of him.
Build Aleksu if your team places plenty of debuffs and you want a damage dealer who cashes them in.
Fulrik the Animator (Honorable Mention)
Fulrik the Animator is an Epic Water Support from the Stonehearts who mixes shields and healing. Animator Beam extends buffs and then shields, Up And At 'Em! gives ATK Up and Combo SPD Up, Heal Quartz heals an ally, and Invigoration Bolt gives Skill RECOV Up.
Redd Riot (Honorable Mention)
Redd Riot is an Epic Fire Ranged Attacker from the Stonehearts, good for Althar and for AoE damage in general. Safe Cracker places Hex on a group, so enemies that die while Hexed cannot be revived, and her critical hits shorten her cooldowns and give her Mana for her Ultimate.
Highguard Hundrik (Honorable Mention)
Highguard Hundrik is an Epic Wind Melee Attacker from the Stonehearts. Stern Rebuke gains damage for every debuff on its target, Beneath My Heel gives him Mana and shortens his cooldowns, Back, Fiend! transfers debuffs, and Shining Sweep places ACC Down. He gets stronger as your team places more debuffs.
Zalasi Bloodthorne (Honorable Mention)
Zalasi Bloodthorne is an Epic Fire Melee Attacker from the Freeborn, and a reliable source of DEF Down for a long time. Petalfall places DEF Down and Weaken on a group, and his other Skills place ATK Down and Combo SPD Down and give him Mana on critical hits. For a debuffer, he also deals a good amount of damage.
Ulsos the Dark Star (Honorable Mention)
Ulsos the Dark Star is an Epic Dark Tank from the Nocturna. Condemn to Dusk places four debuffs in one Skill: DEF Down, Weaken, ATK Down and Combo SPD Down. Fall of Night places RES Down, Dark Star shields him based on the damage he deals, and Umbral Dawn transfers his debuffs to an enemy.
