Thylsa the Rootwalker guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Thylsa the Rootwalker is an Epic Fire Support from the Eldrin Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. Her kit combines regular targeted healing, a bigger group heal, ATK Up and movement control. She's a good pick when your team needs sustain but also wants help creating space for Ranged Attackers or boosting ATK-based damage.
Her two heals scale from different things. Creeper Vine heals through damage dealt, so it grows with her ATK and with how much of the damage actually lands. Heady Aroma combines her MAX HP and her ATK, so both stats feed her ultimate healing.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Thylsa has 803 ATK, 608 DEF and 9,391 HP. Her ATK and HP both sit about average for a Support.
Chain is scarce: she is one of the few Invokers in the game who place it, so she's a good candidate if you're building a team that needs it.
Skills To Prioritize
Creeper Vine attacks one enemy twice and heals the ally with the lowest current HP within range through damage dealt. At Level 10, each heal uses 60% of the matching damage. Max Level keeps that conversion while improving the attack coefficient and lowering the base cooldown from 21 to 19 seconds. It's a focused heal for one pressured ally, not two guaranteed full-team heals. Because it depends on damage, a heavily protected enemy can cut the amount restored. ATK helps the attack and so the healing, while critical hits and damage-boosting effects may support the ordinary hit. Don't estimate Creeper Vine as a fixed percentage of an ally's MAX HP; that isn't its formula.
Heady Aroma is her group-healing Ultimate. At Level 10, its heal combines 18% of Thylsa's MAX HP with 300% of her ATK. It also gives 45% ATK Up for 14 seconds. Max Level raises the HP part to 20%, keeps the ATK part, extends ATK Up to 17 seconds and lowers the Mana cost to 1,000. That makes HP both a survival stat and a healing stat for her. The ATK buff helps Invokers whose damage or healing scales from ATK, but it doesn't improve every Skill equally: an Invoker whose damage scales from DEF doesn't get the same benefit.
Tangleroot attacks an area around a selected enemy and places Chain. It reaches six seconds at Level 10, and Max Level keeps the duration while lowering the base cooldown from 25 to 23 seconds. Chain stops movement, but the enemy can still attack, use Skills and use Titan Invokation, which removes the effect. So holding a melee enemy away from a vulnerable Ranged Attacker can matter, but chaining an enemy already in attack range doesn't stop the damage coming in, and it won't necessarily interrupt a dangerous Skill. She needs Accuracy to land Chain, and a Boss immune to Control Debuffs can't be treated as stuck in place just because the Skill places the debuff.
Thornbarb places ACC Down on one enemy. At Level 10 it reduces Accuracy by 35% for five seconds; Max Level extends it to six seconds on a ten-second base cooldown. It makes an enemy debuffer less reliable if your team also has enough RES, but it isn't immunity to debuffs and covers only one enemy.
If you want Thylsa to keep your team healthy through heavy damage, prioritize Heady Aroma, as Max Level raises its HP-based healing from 18% to 20%, extends ATK Up to 17 seconds and lowers its Mana cost to 1,000. If you want her to heal one pressured ally often, consider upgrading Creeper Vine first, as Max Level lowers its cooldown from 21 to 19 seconds. If you want her to hold enemies back in Arena or against mobile waves, upgrade Tangleroot first, as its Chain reaches six seconds at Level 10 and Max Level lowers its cooldown from 25 to 23 seconds.
Build And Team Support
HP comes first, as it adds to both her survival and Heady Aroma's healing. ATK comes next, as it feeds both Creeper Vine and Heady Aroma and makes ATK Up worth more. Put Accuracy on her Chestplate so Chain and ACC Down land, and stack more after that. Get her RES to about 300 for Bosses, and more for Arena, where a debuff that lands on her can cost you the fight. If you want Heady Aroma more often, put Mana Gen on her Talisman.
For Relic Sets, Health Relics raise her HP, which helps her survive and adds to Heady Aroma's heal. Attack Relics raise the ATK in both her heals and make her ATK Up stronger. Accuracy Relics help Chain and ACC Down land, which comes before increasing the heal.
Pair her with a cleanser if your team gets buried in debuffs, and with protection if Invokers drop before a heal can land. Her ATK Up helps damage dealers who scale from ATK, so she fits best in a team built around them.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena, Thylsa fits a team that benefits from healing, an ATK buff and spacing tools together. Her regular heal can help one pressured teammate before the Ultimate is ready. However, she can't cleanse herself out of every interruption or revive an ally after a failed defensive sequence. Give her protection and work out whether your team's real problem is recovery, prevention or control.
Against Galvos, who rewards allied buffs, Heady Aroma's ATK Up fits his mechanics and her healing keeps your team up.
Be wary of Light Omnissi, as repeated healing can destroy MAX HP. Astral Omnissi can steal buffs, so a strong ATK buff isn't always an advantage there. Choose her where her mix of HP, ATK, ACC Down and Chain answers what your team needs.
In the Fire Spire, the group heal and ATK Up are broadly useful, and Chain may help against mobile waves. Her fifth Combo hit and Tangleroot hit an area, but she doesn't replace a developed damage dealer for waves. Invest in Heady Aroma for group sustain or Creeper Vine for frequent focused healing, depending on what keeps going wrong.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Thylsa's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
