Shadek Story

For all his life, Shadek followed the Path of Light, and was held up by the Lightseekers as a paragon of purity – until a single moment changed him forever. Forged in light, twisted by darkness, Shadek still walks the same path – but now in shadows.

Shadek the Soulreaper guide: skills, build and team roles

Overview

Shadek the Soulreaper is a Legendary Dark Melee Attacker from the Lightseekers Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. He turns a focused kill into a lasting advantage: his Hex means an enemy killed while it's active gains Block Revive, and Weaken, DEF Down and repeated attacks help you land that kill.

That's a practical answer to Arena teams built around revives: defeat the dangerous attacker while the mark is active, instead of letting a Support bring the same threat back. Timing matters. Hex doesn't stop a revive for a target that died before it landed, and if Hex is removed or resisted, it doesn't give the protection you wanted.

Fully Awakened and before Gear, Shadek has 1,099 ATK, 791 DEF and 9,259 HP. His ATK and HP are high for a Melee Attacker.

Chain is scarce: he is one of the few Invokers who place it, so he is a good candidate if you are building a team that needs it.

Skills To Prioritize

Eye of the Void places Hex and Weaken on enemies around Shadek. Weaken reaches 25% at Level 6; later levels improve duration and access. At Level 10 both effects last fourteen seconds, increasing to fifteen at Max Level. Both need Accuracy to land.

Soul Torture places DEF Down with its first hit and Chain with its second. DEF Down reaches 55% at Level 10 and 60% at Max Level, and Max Level extends its duration to fourteen seconds and lowers the base cooldown to twenty-two. That's a big DEF reduction when your team focuses one target. Chain lasts eight seconds at Level 10 and Max Level. It stops movement but still allows Skills and Titan Invokation, and invoking a Titan removes it. An enemy already in position can still act, so think of Chain as a positioning restriction, not hard control.

His fifth Combo Attack shortens all his active Skills' cooldowns by 1.4 seconds at Level 10 or 1.5 at Max Level. Combo SPD can therefore help keep his Skills available as well as raising his attack rate, as long as he can keep attacking.

Time Reap shortens a cooldown when it kills the target. Level 10 reduces one random active Skill by three seconds. Max Level changes that to all active Skills, which makes the killing blow more useful to the rest of his kit. It doesn't trigger just because a teammate kills the enemy shortly afterwards.

Soul Reap adds broad damage and a small personal heal, listed as 2.5% of his MAX HP at Level 10 and Max Level. The area attack doesn't mean you can multiply that heal by every target for a full recovery. The Ultimate also gives Mana back for a kill, but neither that nor Time Reap guarantees an endless chain of casts.

If you want Shadek to stop revives, upgrade Eye of the Void first, as Level 6 gives its full 25% Weaken and later levels lengthen Hex. If you want him to focus one target, consider upgrading Soul Torture first, as its DEF Down reaches 60% at Max Level. Time Reap's Max Level is a more conditional upgrade: it only matters when Shadek lands the killing blow.

Build And Team Support

Shadek places Hex, Weaken, DEF Down and Chain, and all of those need Accuracy, so put Accuracy on his Chestplate and Flask and stack as much as the build allows. After that, build ATK and Crit Rate to about 75-80%, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows. Past that point, Crit DMG is worth more than more Crit Rate. HP and DEF matter too, because he fights in melee. Add Skill RECOV to bring Eye of the Void back sooner. Skill RECOV and Combo SPD can help keep his Skills available, but they can't make up for him dying before his setup lands. He has native Crush and Fatigue Tolerances.

For Relic Sets, Accuracy Relics help Hex, Weaken, DEF Down and Chain land more consistently, and Crit Rate Relics help you reach the Crit Rate threshold. For more damage once those are covered, Predator Relics add ATK and, at five pieces, Crit DMG. Fury Relics add Skill RECOV, and Health or Defense Relics help him survive in melee.

Pair him with damage that can finish the marked target, and with a Support who keeps him in the fight.

Arena, Bosses And Spires

Arena teams with revivers are where he's at his best. Focus fire by hand can make the most of Hex, though opponents may resist or cleanse it, so be wary of enemy Invokers with debuff cleansing Skills or high RES.

Against Althar, Eye of the Void's Hex stops his reviving minions from coming back, and Shadek's native Crush and Fatigue Tolerances match Althar's Corruptions.

Against Sorgott, Soul Torture's DEF Down and Eye of the Void's Weaken raise your team's damage, but Shadek doesn't place Jinx, steal buffs or cleanse debuffs, so bring other Invokers who do.

Against Bosses with no revival mechanic, his DEF Down and Weaken matter more than Hex.

In the Dark Spire, his broad attacks and Hex help against waves with dangerous revivers, but his fifth Combo Attack's area is very small. Build him for the enemy mechanics and the gap he fills on your team, not just because he's Legendary.

Awaken

Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Shadek's potential.

Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
