Gawara the United guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Gawara the United is a Legendary Fire Melee Attacker from the Cambion Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. He places Heal Reduction, RES Down and DEF Down, and his Mana grants and cooldown reductions help him repeat that setup. Heal Reduction shuts down enemy healing, RES Down helps later debuffs land and DEF Down helps your team hit harder. The pieces reinforce one another, but the sequence still depends on landing debuffs, surviving in melee and getting critical hits.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Gawara has 1,084 ATK, 760 DEF and 9,720 HP. His ATK and HP are high for a Melee Attacker.
Skills To Prioritize
Duo Kick places Heal Reduction for six seconds at Level 10 and Max Level. It's 90% at Level 10 and reaches 100% only at Max Level, which matters when you want to stop ordinary healing rather than leave a small portion intact. The ten-second base cooldown and six-second duration don't keep the target suppressed permanently: cooldown recovery, debuff extension, cast timing and whether the debuff lands all decide whether the target stays suppressed at the right moment.
Duality Slash attacks twice. Its first hit places 60% RES Down and the second places DEF Down: 40% at Level 10, with both effects lasting fourteen seconds. Max Level raises DEF Down to 50% and extends both to sixteen seconds. RES Down sets up later debuffs, but Gawara still needs Accuracy to land it himself. Be wary of enemies that are immune to debuffs, as neither RES Down nor full Heal Reduction overrides an immunity.
Ebb and Flow attacks twice and grants 100 Ultimate Mana at Level 10 and Max Level. A critical hit also grants 90 Titan Mana at Level 10 or 100 at Max Level. The Skill's text doesn't make clear whether the grants add up across both attacks, so don't count on doubled totals.
His Ultimate, Judgment Nexus, attacks four times. Each hit reduces Ebb and Flow's cooldown by five seconds, and critical hits also reduce Duality Slash's by five seconds. That links his Ultimate to the Skills he sets up with, but it picks a random enemy rather than your priority target, so don't count on it for focused burst when several enemies are present. It costs 850 Mana at Level 10 or 800 at Max Level, and control, Mana timing and survival can all interrupt the cycle, so it isn't a permanent loop.
His fifth Combo Attack deals area damage and extends random debuffs on targets. At Level 10 it extends one effect by 1.4 seconds; Max Level improves this to up to two effects by 1.5 seconds. It needs Accuracy, and because the pick is random you can't count on Heal Reduction or DEF Down being the effect extended. The debuffs need to be on the enemy already.
If you want Gawara to stop enemy healing, upgrade Duo Kick first, as Max Level raises Heal Reduction from 90% to 100%. If you want your team to hit harder, consider upgrading Duality Slash first, as Max Level raises DEF Down to 50% and lasts sixteen seconds. If you want his debuffs to last longer, consider upgrading his Combo Attack to Max Level first, as it extends more debuffs for longer.
Build And Team Support
Put Accuracy on his Chestplate and Flask, then stack as much Accuracy as the build allows, as RES Down, Heal Reduction and his Combo Attack's extension all need it, and landing a debuff comes before a harder hit. After that, build Crit Rate to about 75-80%, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows, with ATK alongside, as his critical hits feed his Mana grants and cooldown reductions. Keep enough HP and DEF to stay in melee, and don't give up Accuracy or survival for damage, as that breaks his cycle.
For Relic Sets, Accuracy Relics help his debuffs land. Crit Rate Relics get his critical hits more often and Crit Damage Relics make each one hit harder. Attack Relics raise the ATK his hits scale from.
He doesn't heal, Shield or revive allies, so bring Invokers for sustain and for area damage. Mekiddo is a possible Titan pairing, as Gawara is a possible offensive Cambion recipient for it. The Titan's own effects aren't part of Gawara's kit.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena, you can use his Heal Reduction and DEF Down to pressure a focused target.
Against Ulgorim, Duo Kick's Heal Reduction answers the fight's healing, and Gawara's native Blight and Daze Tolerances match Ulgorim's Corruptions.
In the Fire Spire, a debuff dealer like Gawara fits beside Invokers who bring wave damage and healing.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Gawara's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
