Benkoro the Void Wrangler guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Benkoro the Void Wrangler is an Epic Earth Melee Attacker from the Cambion Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. He generates Titan Mana from critical hits and from the debuffs on his Ultimate's target, while his group Pull and DEF Down help your team set up damage. He's at his best when getting your Titan out earlier or more reliably solves a fight, rather than when the team only needs another direct attacker.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Benkoro has 982 ATK, 603 DEF and 7,716 HP. His ATK and HP are about average for a Melee Attacker. Invoking a Titan temporarily removes his normal Skills from the field, so time it as a team decision.
Skills To Prioritize
Shackle Striker attacks one enemy twice. At Level 10 and Max Level, each critical hit grants 45 Titan Mana. Max Level improves its damage and lowers the base cooldown from 22 to 21 seconds, keeping that Titan Mana.
Wrangler Blow, his first active Skill, reduces the cooldown of Shackle Striker by 1.9 seconds at Level 10 or two seconds at Max Level, so his Titan Mana attack comes back sooner. The reduction doesn't need a critical hit.
Ensnare The Guilty Pulls up to ten enemies with low current HP within seven meters toward Benkoro, then attacks them. It grants 25 Titan Mana per critical hit at Level 10 or 30 at Max Level. More enemies mean more chances for a critical hit, but how many it reaches and how many crit decide what you get. The Pull needs Accuracy and immune targets won't be moved. It also brings enemies closer to a Melee Attacker, so your team needs protection or follow-up damage to make the grouping worthwhile.
Spikegust attacks one enemy three times. The first hit places DEF Down for fifteen seconds: 30% at Level 10 and 35% at Max Level. The second and third hits each grant Titan Mana for every debuff on the target, 50 per debuff at Level 10 or 60 at Max Level, so count the debuffs on the target when the hit lands. Be wary of enemies who resist or cleanse debuffs, as they lower the Titan Mana you get. Spikegust gives Titan Mana, not Ultimate Mana: it still costs 850 Ultimate Mana at Level 10 or 800 at Max Level, and the Titan Mana doesn't refund it.
If you want Benkoro to get your Titan out sooner, prioritize Shackle Striker, as each critical hit grants 45 Titan Mana and Max Level lowers its cooldown to 21 seconds. If you want him to Pull enemies together for your team's area damage, consider upgrading Ensnare The Guilty first, as Max Level raises its Titan Mana per critical hit from 25 to 30. If you want him to build on your allies' debuffs, upgrade Spikegust first, as Max Level raises DEF Down to 35% and the Titan Mana per debuff to 60.
Build And Team Support
Put Accuracy on Benkoro's Chestplate and Flask, then stack as much as the build allows, as Pull and DEF Down both need it to land. After that, build Crit Rate to 75-80%, as Shackle Striker and Ensnare The Guilty grant Titan Mana only on critical hits, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows, with ATK alongside. Keep enough HP and DEF for melee exposure: a Benkoro who dies while Pulling enemies in can't generate Titan Mana.
For Relic Sets, Accuracy Relics help his Pull and DEF Down land, Crit Rate Relics get his critical hits more often so Titan Mana comes in faster, and Crit Damage Relics make each of those hits harder. He has native Mindfog and Nightmare Tolerances.
Bring a healer or Shield support, as his kit provides neither. Bring Invokers who place debuffs, since each one on his target adds Titan Mana to Spikegust, and place them before he casts it.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena, Ensnare The Guilty gathers enemies for your allies' area attacks, and Spikegust places DEF Down and gains Titan Mana on a priority target. He needs allied healing or Shields to survive the Pull.
Against Pentiax, where the fight favours Titan damage and cuts ordinary Invoker damage, Benkoro's Titan Mana helps your team reach the damage the fight rewards. His native Mindfog and Nightmare Tolerances match Pentiax's two Corruptions but don't remove every debuff or hazard. This doesn't make him a guaranteed Pentiax pick: he still needs to stay alive and your Titan needs investment, while the rest of your team covers the Boss's other mechanics.
In the Earth Spire, Ensnare The Guilty gathers enemies for allied area attacks, then Spikegust places DEF Down and gains Titan Mana on a priority target.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Benkoro's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
