Zhine the Spark guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Zhine the Spark is an Epic Dark Support from the Magi Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. She places zones that Shock enemies, strip their buffs and Shield the allies standing inside them, so with good positioning your team stays protected while the enemy is held in place.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Zhine has 844 ATK, 608 DEF and 8,976 HP. Her ATK and HP are about average for a Support.
Her kit depends heavily on where enemies and allies stand, which makes her a control Support rather than a healer who protects everyone wherever they are.
Skills To Prioritize
Zap Fence places an eight-by-eight-meter zone in front of Zhine with ten damage ticks. Its Shock lasts 3.5 seconds at Level 10 or four at Max Level, and Max Level lowers the base cooldown from 25 to 23 seconds.
Shock prevents movement and Skill use and raises attack damage received to 125% of normal, meaning 25% more damage. Enemy cooldowns keep recovering. It's different from Freeze, which has other damage and cooldown behavior.
The Skill picks random targets in the zone and places Shock on one enemy per hit, so don't count on every enemy nearby staying Shocked. Targets need to stay in the zone and the Shock has to land.
Hyper Mega Barrier places an eight-by-eight-meter zone with eight ticks. Its effects include short 0.7-second Shocks, removal of ordinary enemy buffs and Shields on allies inside the zone.
At Level 10 and Max Level, each Shield is 15% of her MAX HP and lasts ten seconds. Repeated Shields from the same Skill don't add up to eight on one ally, and an ally outside the zone isn't protected just because Zhine cast the Ultimate. Max Level raises the buff removal from one to two. Aim for repeated disruption, not a permanent Shock lock. Protected buffs stay protected, and the Shields don't restore HP you've already lost.
Bzzt! attacks twice and places DEF Down on its first hit. The value rises from 28% at Level 10 to 33% at Max Level for 13 seconds, with the base cooldown falling from 22 to 20 seconds.
Wonder Wrench extends random debuffs on a target only if that enemy has a Control Debuff. At Level 10 it extends up to two effects by three seconds, and Max Level raises the count to three. A teammate can place a Control Debuff to make it work, but the debuff and the extension both still have to land.
If you want Zhine to keep enemies locked down longer, upgrade Zap Fence first, as Max Level extends Shock from 3.5 to four seconds. If you want her to help your team's damage, upgrade Bzzt! first, as Max Level raises DEF Down from 28% to 33%.
Build And Team Support
Build HP first, since her Ultimate's Shield is 15% of her MAX HP, then RES to keep her alive. Zhine places Shock and DEF Down, which need Accuracy, so put Accuracy on her Chestplate and add as much as the build allows.
For Relic Sets, Health Relics add HP for bigger Shields, Resistance Relics add RES, and Accuracy Relics help her Shock and DEF Down land more consistently.
She has no heal or revive, so bring a healer when Shields alone aren't enough. Her native Frost and Fatigue Tolerances match Yskara's Corruptions, but she is a Support, so she doesn't get the Melee Attacker benefit in that fight.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena and the Dark Spire, her zones can keep enemies disrupted and Shield your allies while your damage dealers work.
Be wary of Bosses that are immune to Control Debuffs, as Shock won't land on them, and Wonder Wrench won't extend debuffs on a target that has no Control Debuff. Her Shields and buff removal may still help there.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Zhine's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
