Tuskax the Rampage guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Tuskax the Rampage is a Legendary Earth Melee Attacker from the Ironbands Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. His kit links enemy buff theft, personal damage buffs and Mana generation, so one Invoker strips the enemy's buffs, powers himself up and feeds both his Ultimate and a Titan. He wants enough Accuracy to take useful buffs away, enough Crit Rate to benefit from his attack sequence, and enough HP to keep fighting up close.
His Mana comes in two separate kinds. His fifth Combo Attack grants Titan Mana per buff on Tuskax, and Rampager Ax grants Ultimate Mana. More personal buffs feed the Titan Mana, but that Combo effect doesn't refill his Ultimate Mana.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Tuskax has 1,070 ATK, 823 DEF and 9,202 HP. His ATK and HP are both high for a Melee Attacker.
His support work is mostly offensive: taking buffs from an enemy and placing Weaken helps the team attack. The ATK Up, Crit DMG Up and Immunity from Beast Somersault go on Tuskax himself, so don't mistake them for team-wide support.
Skills To Prioritize
Rampager Ax grants Ultimate Mana twice and steals buffs with two attack hits. At Level 10, each hit steals one random buff; Max Level raises that to two. If the target has no buffs, it also reduces Beast Somersault's cooldown by four seconds twice. That gives you a reason to strip the final buff, not just collect one you like. Theft needs Accuracy and can't take protected Boss effects, so if an enemy keeps a buff, you don't get the extra cooldown reduction. Don't count on the full eight seconds against every Boss.
The fifth Combo Attack grants Titan Mana per buff on Tuskax: 7.5 per buff at Level 10 and eight at Max Level.
Beast Somersault reaches 45% ATK Up and 60% Crit DMG Up at Level 10, lasting sixteen seconds, and also gives two charges of Immunity for the same time. Max Level keeps those strengths, shortens the base cooldown from twenty-four to twenty-three seconds and raises the Ultimate Mana he gets from a critical hit from twenty-five to thirty. The Crit DMG Up pays off when he actually lands critical hits. Immunity blocks ordinary debuffs within its charge limit, but it isn't Willpower, which is what protects against Control Debuffs. Tuskax can still need a Support to handle Control Debuffs or restore his HP.
Horn Driver Launches a single target and gains a random debuff transfer at Level 8. The transfer helps only Tuskax and isn't a group cleanse, and it can't move effects that a Boss prevents from being transferred.
Demon Twister, his Ultimate, charges along a path and places a five-second Stun at Level 10. Its Weaken makes the target take 15% more damage, lasting eighteen seconds at Level 10 and twenty at Max Level. Max Level also lowers its Mana cost from 850 to 800. Most of his other attacks hit one enemy, so Demon Twister does much of his area-control work.
If you want Tuskax to feed his Titan and keep Beast Somersault coming back, upgrade Rampager Ax first, as Max Level steals two buffs per hit. If you want him hitting harder and generating Ultimate Mana from critical hits, upgrade Beast Somersault first, as Max Level raises that reward and shortens its cooldown. If you want more from his charge, upgrade Demon Twister first, for the longer Weaken and the lower Mana cost.
Build And Team Support
Build Accuracy first, on your Chestplate and Flask and then as much as the build allows, because his buff theft, Stun and Weaken all need it to land. After that, take Crit Rate to about 75-80%, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows, with ATK alongside, so his Crit DMG Up and his critical-hit Mana both pay off. Keep enough HP and DEF to stay in melee range.
For Relic Sets, Accuracy Relics help his theft, Stun and Weaken land. Crit Rate Relics get his critical hits more often, Crit Damage Relics make each one hit harder, and Predator Relics add ATK and then Crit DMG for more damage once those are covered.
His native Frost and Mindfog Tolerances help against Bosses with those Corruptions, including Yskara and Pentiax, but they don't guarantee a clear. He has no heal or Shield, so pair him with a healer and a Tank that let his melee damage and Mana cycle keep going.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena, Demon Twister can interrupt several enemies when positioning lines them up. Be wary of enemies who are spread out or protected against Stun, as the charge then controls fewer of them.
Against Bosses, Weaken makes your team's hits do more, and his buff theft strips buffs the Boss has gained, as long as they can be stolen. Against a Boss that is immune to Control Debuffs, Demon Twister can't Stun, but it gives extra Titan Mana instead. That doesn't mean every resisted Stun, or every spent protection charge, counts as the Boss being immune.
In the Earth Spire, his charge can control grouped enemies, but his other attacks are single-target, so bring other Invokers for area damage and healing.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Tuskax's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
