Furnos the Iron Wall guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Furnos the Iron Wall is a Legendary Fire Tank from the Ironbands Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. He protects allies by pulling enemy Combo Attacks onto himself and reducing enemy ATK, while his Crit Rate Up and Crit DMG Up buffs help the team turn that protected time into damage. His Ultimate heals him, but it doesn't replace a healer for the rest of the group.
Fully Awakened and before Gear, Furnos has 414 ATK, 1,150 DEF and 12,840 HP. His ATK is high for a Tank, and his DEF and HP are both among the highest. His attacks scale from both ATK and DEF, with large DEF multipliers, so DEF helps him survive and hit harder.
Skills To Prioritize
Burning Hate attacks nearby enemies and places Taunt for seven seconds at Level 10 and Max Level. It also places 50% ATK Down, lasting thirteen seconds at Level 10 or fifteen at Max Level. The base cooldown drops from 24 to 23 seconds.
Taunt forces affected enemies to use Combo Attacks on Furnos. Those attacks still land on him, so he needs Accuracy to place Taunt and enough HP to take the hits.
Blazing Will places a short Weaken on its second hit: 14% at Level 10 or 15% at Max Level, for five seconds. It's a brief boost to your team's damage, not a permanent one.
Smoldering Rage gives nearby allies three buffs: 35% Move SPD Up, 30% Crit Rate Up and 50% Crit DMG Up. They last twelve seconds at Level 10, or thirteen at Max Level, and the base cooldown improves from 23 to 22 seconds.
The Crit Rate Up and Crit DMG Up help allies whose damage comes from critical hits. How much they add depends on those allies' own stats and buffs, and a stronger buff of the same kind still overrides a weaker one. Move SPD Up helps with movement and positioning; it doesn't speed up Combo Attacks or Skill cooldowns.
Dragon Breath attacks a forward cone eight times and heals Furnos eight times, according to the damage it deals. The heal is 67% of that damage at Level 10 and 70% at Max Level. Max Level also improves the attack multipliers and lowers the Ultimate cost from 850 to 800 Mana.
The heal is for Furnos only. It doesn't restore allies hit by enemy pressure, and it isn't 70% of his maximum HP per hit. Enemy defences, the number of targets hit and damage modifiers all change how much he heals.
If you want Furnos to protect your team, upgrade Burning Hate first, as Max Level extends ATK Down from thirteen to fifteen seconds and shortens its cooldown. If your team is short on critical support, upgrade Smoldering Rage first, as Max Level extends its buffs from twelve to thirteen seconds and shortens its cooldown.
Build And Team Support
Furnos places Taunt, ATK Down and Weaken, so put Accuracy on his Chestplate first and stack more after that as the build allows. Then build DEF, then HP, then RES up to about 300 for Bosses, with more for Arena. After that, Skill RECOV brings Burning Hate and Smoldering Rage back faster, and Mana Gen on his Talisman gets Dragon Breath out sooner.
For Relic Sets, Defense Relics add DEF, which helps him survive and hit harder, and Health Relics add HP. Accuracy Relics help his Taunt and ATK Down land. Resistance Relics help keep him from being debuffed, which matters most in Arena.
Bring a healer or a Shield provider too, especially before Furnos reaches Dragon Breath. Pair him with damage dealers who gain from Crit Rate Up and Crit DMG Up.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena and the Fire Spire, his area Taunt protects vulnerable allies while Smoldering Rage improves your damage dealers' follow-up hits.
Be wary of Bosses that are immune to Control Debuffs, as they ignore Burning Hate's Taunt. Its ATK Down can still reduce ATK-based hits, and his other Skills still work.
Against Yskara, his native Frost and Fatigue Tolerances match Yskara's debuffs. But as a Tank he doesn't receive the Melee Attacker bonus in that fight, even though he fights up close.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Furnos's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
