Sabado guide: skills, build and team roles
Overview
Sabado is a Rare Dark Freeborn Invoker who turns a well-prepared target into focused damage and Titan Mana. Most of his kit attacks one enemy. He gains a personal Crit Rate Up buff under a condition, extends his own buffs, and uses his Ultimate, Double Tap, to generate Titan Mana. With protection and useful debuffs from his team, he can keep attacking a prepared target.
Fully Awakened, Ascended to 6★ and Awakened, but before Gear, Sabado has 930 ATK, 527 DEF and 5,104 HP. His ATK is about average for a Ranged Attacker, while his DEF and HP are both low, so he needs a team that keeps him alive long enough to use that damage.
Bullseye! grants Crit Rate Up only if its target has no buffs. Be wary of enemies that keep a buff running, as even one surviving buff stops that part of the Skill. Pairing Sabado with reliable buff removal helps both his damage and his Crit Rate Up.
Booster Shell extends one random buff on Sabado, or up to two if the hit is a critical hit. This can preserve his own Crit Rate Up buff or helpful effects from allies. You can't choose which buffs it picks when he has several.
Skills To Prioritize
Double Tap attacks twice. At Level 10, each hit grants Sabado 160 Titan Mana plus 16 for each debuff on the target. Max Level raises the per-debuff amount to 20. These gains support Invokation of his Titan; they don't refund the Mana you spent to cast Double Tap.
The Ultimate costs 1,100 Mana at Level 1, 1,075 at Level 5, 1,050 at Level 8 and 1,000 at Max Level. It only pays off if you reach the cast and have a Titan worth powering up. Judge his own damage and his Titan's damage separately.
Bullseye! reaches 30% Crit Rate Up for 13 seconds at Level 10. Max Level extends the buff to 15 seconds and reduces the cooldown to 22 seconds. The target must still be free of buffs. Booster Shell reaches an eight-second extension at Level 10; Max Level keeps that amount and shortens its cooldown. These are handy upgrades, but they don't remove the conditions on his Skills.
If you want Sabado to be a Titan-feeding Invoker, prioritize Double Tap, as Level 10 and Max Level raise the Titan Mana it grants for every debuff on the target, and Max Level lowers the Ultimate's cost to 1,000 Mana. If you want your Sabado to hit as hard as possible himself, consider upgrading Bullseye! first, as its Crit Rate Up grows to 30% for 13 seconds at Level 10 and lasts 15 seconds at Max Level.
Build And Team Support
As a damage dealer, Sabado wants ATK first, then Crit Rate up to 75-80%, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows. Expect stretches when Bullseye!'s buff isn't up, especially if you want Booster Shell's critical hit bonus. None of his Skills needs Accuracy, as his teammates place the debuffs Double Tap uses. Add HP, DEF and the right Tolerances when ranged positioning is not enough to keep him safe.
If you want more damage, ATK Relics give that useful Set Bonus. If Double Tap is the reason you are fielding him, Mana Gen helps him reach his Ultimate sooner.
Pair him with a healer or a Tank who keeps enemies away from him, and with Invokers who place debuffs or remove enemy buffs. Those teammates let his single-target damage and Titan Mana work at full strength.
Arena, Bosses And Spires
In Arena, Sabado needs a protected damage window and a target free of buffs to gain Crit Rate Up. Invest in him for focused damage and Titan Mana, rather than expecting a self-sufficient all-rounder.
Against Pentiax, who rewards Titan damage and reduces Invoker damage, Double Tap's Titan Mana is the reason to bring Sabado, not his own damage.
Against Koltmos, who favors ranged positioning, Sabado's range and native Blight Tolerance both help.
Against Ulgorim or Galvos, bring allied debuffers: each debuff they place on the target adds Titan Mana to Double Tap.
Against Sorgott, most of Sabado's damage stays single-target. His fifth Combo hit has a small area, but he can't reliably clear Sorgott's rats. He also lacks native Manaburn or Crush Tolerance, so bring Invokers or Relics that have them.
In the Dark Spire, Sabado can take out dangerous individual enemies, but a group damage dealer or Control Debuff specialist may be worth more when waves overwhelm your team.
Awaken
Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Sabado's potential.
Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
