Incizza Story

On the bilgebarge, the Grim Tidings, no-one dare complain about the food. Unless they want Incizza's cleaver at their throat. A conventional cook he is not – his sous-chef and on-demand ink cannon is a voidsquid Incizza keeps caged on his back, and his food is often still writhing when it hits a pirate's plate. But grub's grub, and it does keep his crew in fine fettle.

Incizza Inkbroth guide: skills, build and team roles

Overview

Incizza Inkbroth is an Epic Dark Melee Attacker from the Freeborn Faction in Invokers: Titan Legacy. He makes one enemy easier to debuff and damage: RES Down helps later debuffs land, DEF Down helps your team's damage, Abyssal Chomp keeps useful debuffs running longer and Writhing Broadside turns the debuffs on his target into Titan Mana. His own damage is only part of the reason to pick him.

Fully Awakened and before Gear, Incizza has 865 ATK, 690 DEF and 7,845 HP. His ATK and HP are about average for a Melee Attacker.

He has no heal, Shield or revive, and he fights up close, so he needs allies to keep him alive while his debuffs do their work.

Skills To Prioritize

Release the Squid!, his Ultimate, attacks twice. The first hit places RES Down and the second places DEF Down. At Level 10 they are 80% RES Down and 35% DEF Down for sixteen seconds. Max Level raises them to 100% and 40% and lowers the Ultimate's cost from 850 to 800 Mana. RES Down lands first, so it helps later debuffs, including DEF Down on the second hit, but Incizza still needs Accuracy to place it. A big RES reduction doesn't get past immunity or guarantee that every later debuff lands. DEF Down helps attacks whose damage DEF affects; it isn't a fixed percentage boost to all of your team's damage.

Abyssal Chomp extends random debuffs already on its target. The count rises from one to two at Level 6, then to three at Max Level. The extension is six seconds at Level 10 and Max Level, and Max Level lowers the base cooldown from 24 to 23 seconds. It can keep Incizza's own debuffs or your allies' debuffs running, as long as they can be extended and landed in the first place. It picks at random, so it can't promise that one chosen debuff gets the extra time when several compete.

Bilge Cleaver places ACC Down for six seconds, improving from 47% at Level 10 to 50% at Max Level. It lowers the enemy's Accuracy, so their debuffs land less often.

Writhing Broadside attacks one enemy three times. Each hit grants Titan Mana for every debuff on that target: 33 per debuff at Level 10, rising to 35 at Max Level. That ties your team's debuffs to Titan Mana as well as damage. The debuffs are counted on each hit, so effects that expire or get removed mid-sequence give you less. This is Titan Mana, not Ultimate Mana: it helps you reach Titan Invokation, but the Ultimate's own Mana cost still has to come from elsewhere.

If you want Incizza to keep your team's debuffs running, upgrade Abyssal Chomp first, as Level 6 adds a second extended debuff. If you want him to make enemies easier to debuff and damage, take Release the Squid! to Max Level first, as it raises RES Down from 80% to 100% and DEF Down from 35% to 40%.

Build And Team Support

Incizza places RES Down, DEF Down and ACC Down, so put Accuracy on his Chestplate and Flask and stack as much as the build allows. After that, build ATK and Crit Rate to about 75-80%, then as much Crit DMG as the build allows. Past that point, Crit DMG is worth more than more Crit Rate. Add enough HP and DEF to survive in melee. Skill RECOV and Mana Gen help him reach his Skills and Release the Squid! sooner. He has native Mindfog and Nightmare Tolerances, which match Pentiax's two Corruptions.

For Relic Sets, Accuracy Relics help his debuffs land more consistently, and Crit Rate Relics help you reach the Crit Rate threshold. For more damage once those are covered, Predator Relics add ATK and, at five pieces, Crit DMG.

Bring a healer and a Tank to keep him alive, and Invokers who place debuffs of their own, so Abyssal Chomp has more to extend and Writhing Broadside has more to turn into Titan Mana.

Arena, Bosses And Spires

In Arena, Incizza can go after a priority target with RES Down and DEF Down, with allies keeping him alive in melee.

Against Pentiax, Titan damage matters, so Writhing Broadside's Titan Mana has a direct purpose.

In the Dark Spire, Incizza helps your team's damage on a single target while allies provide wave damage and sustain. All of his attacks are focused, so don't expect him to clear waves on his own, even though his debuffs help a team clear them.

Awaken

Awakening boosts an Invoker's stats significantly. Bonuses from Relics, Accessories, the Trophy Room, Tactics and Titan leader bonuses apply to base stats and Awakening stats alike, so unlocking the Awakening nodes is critical to maximise Incizza's potential.

Unlocking each Titan node at Star 2, 4 and 6 adds a second to Titan Invokation, taking the total from 12 seconds to 15.
