Update 0.59

Events and Tournaments are coming in 0.59! Together with these regular activities that players can participate in to earn resources, 0.59 also brings with it the Gear Swap Pass, improvements to our in-game Chat, the long awaited alternative to the “Find All Chests” Campaign Star, 8 new Invokers, 3 new Titans, and more!

EVENTS & TOURNAMENTS

With the launch of 0.59, you’ll be able to take part in specific Events and Tournaments, which will reward you with all manner of goodies by completing set objectives. You’ll be able to view currently active tournaments via an in-game Event Calendar, so you can plan your strategy!

To take part in Events & Tournaments, you need to have completed Level 1 of Chapter 2 in the Campaign.

Most Tournaments will run for 3 days, and fulfilling a Tournament’s objectives will earn you Tournament Points. Earn enough Tournament Points and you’ll instantly unlock rewards via the Personal Rewards track.

Should you earn enough Points to place highly on a Tournament’s Leaderboard, you’ll also earn additional Leaderboard Rewards! Most Tournaments have two Leaderboards – a Local Leaderboard that pits you against other players of a similar level and a Global Leaderboard, which will put you against a much wider group of players from across the world!

For the Global Leaderboards, players from Level 1 to 30 will be grouped together into one bracket, while players from Level 30 and above will be in their own bracket.

There are also special Challenge Rewards – these are difficult milestones that if one player achieves the Tournament Challenge, everyone in the server receives a reward (so long as you’ve earned enough Tournament Points to qualify!).

On the launch of 0.59, there will 4 or 5 different Tournament types to engage with this launch week, along with a special Welcome Tournament. The Welcome Tournament is specifically for players under Level 15, complete with unique objectives that are tailored to those just starting out, with only a Local Leaderboard and no Tournament Challenges. We want to ease new players in with a nice, relaxed Tournament before they enter the true crucible of competition!

Should a Tournament end and you don’t manage to collect your rewards in time, they’ll be moved to the brand new Inbox where you can collect them. If you do not claim your rewards from your Inbox within 3 days, they’ll be automatically applied to your account.

As for Events, they are collections of Tournaments where players can earn a special currency – Crowns – to then spend in a special Event Shop. Our first Event will be the Taranis Chase, where players can compete across multiple Tournaments to earn Points, which are then exchanged for Crowns that can be used to get a new Legendary Invoker: Taranis the Bolt Regent!

The Taranis Chase Event won't launch straight away with the release of 0.59 – we want to check Tournaments are working as intended, and then we hope to launch this first Event the week after the update launch.

You’ll be able to see on our in-game calendar which Tournaments are part of the Taranis Chase Event, so you can visualize your tactics to earn the most Crowns. Tournaments that are active during the Taranis Chase will earn you double Tournament Points, speeding up your Crown collection progress. When the Taranis Chase launches, it will last 3 weeks – so plan accordingly!

Once you’ve gained enough Crowns and claimed Taranis from the Event Shop, you’ll then be able to buy other valuable goodies.

We’re super excited to finally have Events and Tournaments live in-game – so please tell us what you think on Discord, and let us know if you have any ideas for future Tournaments and Events. We’re all ears!

GEAR SWAP PASS

A heavily requested feature – we’re adding the ability to remove and replace your Relic loadouts for free with the Gear Swap Pass!

It functions similarly to our Gold and XP Boosts, with players being able to activate the Gear Swap Pass for 24 hours, giving them unlimited free Gear swaps during that time.

Once you reach Level 15, players will receive a free Gear Swap Pass every 2 weeks, and you can buy additional Passes for 1000 Gems from the Gem Shop. If you activate a new Pass while one is already active, it will simply extend the original Pass’s duration by a day.

For new players, the Gear Swap Pass will be automatically activated for your first 7 days of play – so you can freely experiment with Relics as you’re learning the ropes.

As a special launch gift, all existing players will get 7 days of free Relic removal and replacing! This period lasts for 7 days from the launch of the update, so don’t miss out.

CAMPAIGN STAR CHALLENGES

No longer do you need to collect all Chests in a Campaign Level to get that one Campaign Star! We’ve now given you an alternative completion condition – you just need to complete a Level within a set time limit to earn the Star.

You can bring as many Invokers as you like and they don’t need to all be alive when you complete the Level. As long as you see the Victory screen and finish the Level in time, the Star is yours.

If you haven’t already got the Star for a Level but you have a previous clear time that would have awarded you the Level, you’ll need to run the Level once to register the clear time and get your Star. Easy peasy!

CHAT IMPROVEMENTS

  • Better Chat Messages:  We’ve added an icon of the Invoker or Titan when someone has summoned or fused to their chat message
  • Banned Chatters: Messages from banned players now stay hidden for everyone, even when you restart the game

AUTO-EQUIP IMPROVEMENTS

We’ve made tweaks to the Auto-Equip logic so it should better equip Invokers, depending on their role in battle.

  • Tank Priority: For Tanks at lower Ascension ★s, Auto-Equip will prioritize HP over Defense
  • Crit Rate Cap: Auto-Equip now has a Crit Rate cap, so Invokers are not over-stacking Crit Rate
  • Accuracy Balance: Auto-Equip now assigns fewer Accuracy Relics to Invokers who don’t require Accuracy to effectively use their Skills

PAUSE MENU IMPROVEMENTS

  • The Pause Menu will now show specific custom debuffs, like Galvos’ Rival and Hyxxis’ Encased debuffs, along with a short description.

PROGRESS QUEST & ACHIEVEMENT CHANGES

We’ve made the following changes to our Progress Quests:

  • Page 1 – Level Up an Invoker to Level 10 using XP Potions
    • Previous reward: 50 Memorium → New reward: 30 Small XP Potions
  • Page 6 – Beat Levels 5, 6, or 7 of the Campaign in Chapter 3, 3 times to win Pauldrons, Gauntlets or Boots
    • Previous reward: 5 Wild Stars → New reward: 400 Memorium
  • Page 6 – Win 3 3★ Relics in the Campaign
    • Previous reward: 200 Memorium → New reward: 400 Memorium
  • Page 7 – Equip 4 Invokers with 8 Relics, each of Level 10 or higher
    • Previous reward: 100 Memorium → New reward: 200 Memorium
  • Page 8 – Beat Chapter 4 Level 7 of the Campaign on Normal
    • Previous reward: 25K Gold → New reward: 200 Memorium
  • Page 9 – Equip a Tank Invoker with 2 complete Relic Sets at the same time
    • Previous reward: 100 Memorium → New reward: 200 Memorium
  • Page 14 – Ascend 1 Invoker to 4★ Ascension
    • Previous reward: 1 4★ Echo → New reward: 2 4★ Echoes

We’ve also added extra levels to the “Summon X Earth, Wind, Water, or Fire Invokers” Achievements. Previously, this Achievement capped out at 5,000 summons. Now, we’ve extended it to a cap of 50,000 summons! Keep pulling those Wild Stars, and you’ll get some extra Destiny Stars as a bonus.

INVOKER TIER LIST CHANGES

We’ve added a button in the menu where you rate Invokers that will take you straight to the Tier List in the Index – perfect for seeing where your favorite Invoker lands on the community power rankings.

BATTLE

  • Damage Popups: Damage popups will no longer appear above dead characters (except for Block Revive)

CAMPAIGN & SPIRES

  • Shortened Campaign Levels: We’ve shortened the Campaign Levels of Chapters 6 and 7 across all difficulties.

INVOKER REBALANCES

As is fitting for the leader of the Voidstormers, Durlag’s Ultimate Skill, Dark Hail, now ignores a portion of the target’s DEF. It will ignore 4% of a target’s DEF per buff on them, stacking up to 40%. At Max Level, it ignores 6% of a target’s DEF per buff on them, stacking up to 60%.

If a target doesn’t have any buffs on them, it will ignore 20% of a target’s DEF at Level 1, and 40% of a target’s DEF at Max Level.

We’ll be adding Ignore DEF to the Skills of some upcoming Invokers and Titans, so keep a look out for these hard-hitting attackers!

We’re also standardizing the size of many Invokers’ Combo Attack 5. For those whose Combo Attack 5 acts as an AoE attack, we’re now making them all one uniform size – 3.5m

66 individual Invokers(!) are affected by this change, with all of them seeing the size of their Combo Attack 5 increase by at least 0.5m. Check below to see all the Invokers in each individual Faction that are getting this AoE size boost.

Mistress Dusca has also seen a slight tweak to her Skill 3, Lasting Afflictions. At Level 1, the random debuff extension and the extension of up to 3 Bleed debuffs has been reduced from 4s to 3s.

For Runeshield Brotten, we’ve also fixed an issue with his Ultimate, In The King’s Name! At Levels 3, 4 and 5, the length of the ATK Down debuff applied by this Skill suddenly jumped up to 16s, before reducing back down to 12s at Level 6. This has now been fixed, so the ATK Down debuff at Levels 3, 4 and 5 is now 11s
